Description
We are seeking an Enterprise Security Architect for a 6 month contract to start to secure, and scale the foundational infrastructure to support AI/ML capabilities. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level enterprise strategy and deep technical execution. You will be actively building the hybrid cloud control planes, SecDevOps pipelines, and distributed systems that bring complex AI models to life.
This contract has a high chance of extension. This will be a hybrid role based out of our clients Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis, research and POCs to assess technology capabilities
- Operate across the technology landscape, and translating macro-level enterprise reference architectures into granular, production-ready solution designs.
- Design, deploy, and optimize complex data, security, and AI control planes to ensure seamless model orchestration and data flow.
- Lead the hands-on deployment of hybrid Proof of Concepts (POC) and Proof of Value (POV) across multi-cloud environments.
- Identify and embed rigorous security practices into modern CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that infrastructure deployment is fully automated, resilient, and compliant.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of enterprise security architecture experience, with at least 3-5 years strictly dedicated to AI/ML infrastructure or large-scale distributed systems.
- An ability to operate anywhere from the enterprise reference architecture level all the way to the specific solution design elements.
- Extensive hands-on experience deploying hybrid POC, POV and MVP environments across major cloud providers, with a primary focus on Azure, GCP and (to a lesser extent) AWS.
- Proficiency with SecDevOps practices, building robust CI/CD pipelines, data, security and AI Control Planes
- A proven track record of moving seamlessly from high-level enterprise architectural planning down to low-level technical execution.
- Practical knowledge of observability for AI systems specifically: end-to-end auditing, tracing, monitoring, alerting, and cost controls.
