Become a Senior Editor with HarperCollins Canada and lead the charge in acquiring and editing impactful nonfiction titles for the esteemed Collins Canada imprint. Focus on quality and market potential.<br/><br/>As a Senior Editor, you’ll engage with both agents and new authors to identify compelling nonfiction projects, guiding the editing process for up to 12 annual titles. Your abilities in project management, P&L generation, and market trend analysis will help you strategically position these titles for success. Building relationships within the industry will allow you to effectively represent HarperCollins and foster a diverse publishing program.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct substantive and line edits on manuscripts
• Acquire nonfiction titles with strong market potential
• Create compelling presentations and metadata for publications
• Liaise regularly with the Editor in Chief
• Attend industry events and network actively<br/><br/>Requirements:
• At least 5 years of editorial experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Negotiation skills and industry understanding
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects
