Solution Architecture and Delivery<br/><br/>Understand business goals and translate them into clear digital product architecture and technology roadmaps. Define frontend and digital solution architectures that are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable. Support modernization initiatives that reduce technical debt, close architecture gaps, and enable new digital capabilities. Work with product and delivery teams to refine backlogs, assess feasibility, and guide implementation decisions. Communicate architecture decisions, trade‑offs, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Identify delivery and architecture risks, recommend practical mitigations, and support continuous improvement after implementation.
Technical Leadership<br/><br/>Stay current with digital, web, mobile, cloud, and AI‑enabled technologies, platforms, and tools. Apply architecture standards and review practices to support quality, security, and compliance. Create and review design artifacts that support engineering, security, service, and delivery needs. Mentor and coach team members, encouraging collaboration, technical growth, and consistent design practices.
Architecture Community<br/><br/>Contribute to Aviva’s architecture community by sharing knowledge and improving design practices. Build technical expertise and help evaluate emerging technology trends that could benefit Aviva and its customers.
Problem Solving and Change Leadership<br/><br/>Use technical expertise to solve complex design and delivery challenges. Recommend practical solutions that align with architecture principles, standards, and delivery needs. Adapt to changing priorities and influence design decisions as business needs evolve.
Collaboration and External Engagement<br/><br/>Build strong relationships with product managers, engineers, platform specialists, architects, and delivery partners. Engage with suppliers and technology partners to stay informed on relevant trends, capabilities, and market developments.
What You’ll Bring<br/><br/>Digital, Web, and Frontend Technologies:<br/><br/>Strong experience with digital application and web architecture.
Frontend frameworks such as React and Angular.
Mobile frameworks such as React Native.
UX research and design tools such as Figma.
Web asset management platforms such as Adobe.
Digital data and analytics platforms, including Google and Adobe solutions.
Web application security, CDN/edge technologies, and performance optimization.
Experience integrating AI services into digital products.
Web application observability and end‑user monitoring.<br/><br/>Additional Experience That Would Be an Asset:<br/><br/>Insurance industry experience, including Guidewire.
API and event technologies such as REST, GraphQL, Pub/Sub, and WebSockets.
Backend frameworks, preferably Java and Node.js.
Modern application architecture, domain‑focused design, microservices, and micro apps.
Cloud computing, containerization, orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
Public cloud certification, preferably AWS.<br/><br/>Project and Technical Leadership<br/><br/>Strong understanding of end‑to‑end project delivery, including Agile delivery methods. Broad technical knowledge with the ability to apply solutions across different customer and business scenarios. A practical innovation approach committed to customer and business value. Financial awareness to support strategic recommendations and architecture decisions. Ability to balance long‑term strategy with near‑term delivery priorities.

What You’ll Get<br/><br/>Salary band: $140,000 to $190,000 (individual salary determined by knowledge, skills, and experience).
