<div><p>Join Beacon Community Services as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) at Parry Place! We are excited to be expanding our Assisted Living services under BC’s new model of care and are hiring for a regular night line. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly formed team and contribute to building a supportive, person-centred care environment from the ground up. In this role, you’ll provide daily living support, encouragement, and companionship to seniors in a respectful, home-like setting, helping residents live with dignity, independence, and comfort while making a positive difference every day.</p>
<p><b>Days/Hours of Work: </b>7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 4 on 4 off</p>

<h3>What You’ll Do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Help residents with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).</li>
<li>Support safe mobility, transfers, and use of lifts/assistive devices.</li>
<li>Assist with meals, hydration, and comfort routines.</li>
<li>Support resident laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and returning personal items as needed.</li>
<li>Facilitate recreational and social activities.</li>
<li>Provide medication reminders and support self-administration.</li>
<li>Observe and report changes in resident health or behaviour.</li>
<li>Keep rooms and equipment clean and safe.</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings and respond to emergencies.</li>
<li>Other duties as required</li>
</ul>
<h3>What You Bring</h3>
<ul>
<li>Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program.</li>
<li>Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.</li>
<li>First Aid & CPR Level C, FoodSafe Level 1</li>
<li>Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home support</li>
<li>Respectful, compassionate, and patient approach.</li>
<li>Good communication and documentation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and in a team.</li>
<li>Physically able to perform lifting, transfers, and other duties.</li>
