Northfleet Group Inc. is a growing concrete forming and flatwork solutions company specializing in industrial, commercial, and institutional projects across the GTA. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Health & Safety professional to help strengthen our safety culture, support our field teams, and ensure our projects are delivered with care, compliance, and accountability.

Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000

Location: GTA (Must be able to travel to Kingston/Northern, if required)

Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist in the administration, documentation, and management of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

·      Conduct field level safety inspections, meetings, toolbox talks, and informational awareness.

·      Investigate incidents, perform inspections, and audits, and complete related documentation.

·      Assist in ongoing maintenance and compliance requirements as it pertains to HSE initiatives, MLITSD investigations, WSIB return to work plans and incident investigations.

·      Facilitate and maintain training programs as required, including New Employee Orientation and specialized training.

·      Regularly monitor the safety compliance of workers and subcontractors.

·      Provide guidance, support, and be an active member of the JHSC.

·      Work closely with managers, PMs, subcontractors, and 3rd party regulators ensuring legal compliance with all legislation.

·      Complete and assist in the creation of hazard assessments, and internal audits as required.

·      Be a point of contact for addressing employee concerns regarding the Health and Safety program while ensuring to foster, promote, and develop a positive safety culture.

·      Maintain safety records, KPIs, and reports.

·      Other health, safety and environmental duties related as assigned, to ensure compliance.

Key Qualifications

·      1-2 years of experience within a similar role related to HSE in Ontario.

·      Experience in the construction industry.

·      Post-secondary diploma or degree from an accredited College or University.

·      JHSC certified.

·      Possess a professional demeanour, attention to detail, deadline-oriented, time management skills.

·      Organized and resourceful individual able to work independently or in a team.

·      Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective personal relationships with employees and project managers.

·      Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.

·      Working knowledge of the OHSA and associated regulations.

·      Valid G class driver’s license.

·      COR auditing experience is an asset.

·      Strong computer skills, using MS Office, and industry related software.

·      Flexibility to work varying schedules.

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

·      Ability to travel within assigned territory without restriction & work within inclement weather conditions, as required.

·      Able to work within a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
