Our client, a well-known multinational manufacturer in the aviation industry, is looking for an experienced Bilingual Inventory Planner for their location on the south shore (Longueuil) of Montreal.

1.0 Purpose

This document defines the responsibilities and qualifications needed to perform job responsibilities and duties for Kelly Services Inventory & Planning.

2.0 Scope

The scope of this position will encompass the responsibilities of all contractual, full-time Kelly Services employees working in the Program Inventory & Planning as an Inventory Planner, Material Planning & SIOP.

3.0 Responsibilities

General responsibilities of the position:

The Inventory Planner role is designed to support the Aftermarket Spares Forecasting Planning team by providing inventory reports, analysis, data and assist in decisions making, provide guidance with data on hand (Inventory numbers, receipts, run rates, replacement rates, campaigns, significant supply disruption, SIOP changes, etc.) while working closely with them to meet the Inventory numbers.

As part of responsibilities, the Inventory Planner role is accountable for inventory on hand and plans to reduce and optimize inventory. The inventory Planner is expected to understand the different inventory types, (Safety Stock, Excess, cycle, over cycle, S’Sed, slow moving etc.) and provide plans and participate in workshops to optimize the inventory (Re-allocation, repurpose, Scrap etc.).

Working closely with the SPS inventory manager, the inventory planner is asked to forecast inventory at the end of each month, understand the inventory headwind, and propose mitigation plans. Proficient in Power Point and Excel as well as a good communicator, the individual will be asked to support Executive level meetings and discuss the status of our inventory.

Finally, the individual will be pulled on to support various projects in connection with this role or as a support to the organization.

Plans, designs and executes activities that are directly related to the physical creation of UTC products and the functional operation of UTC facilities. Contains professional and para-professional disciplines. Creates and executes plan for every part and maintains master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required. Facilitates the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SI&OP.

This position is for an experienced professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise who leads in the supply and demand planning process, Inventory, and is responsible for making significant improvements of processes, systems, and products to enhance performance of work area and team. Works with internal and external team leaders to develop financial forecasts.

Leads in the development of strategies for materials planning and SIOP. Spearheads the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.

Analyzes identified demand streams and leads in the establishment of data relationship linkages. Collaborates with product development leaders and sales and marketing team leaders to support development of demand forecasts. Leads in the planning of capacity and fulfillment of demand with plant manufacturing operations.

4.0 Qualifications

Key skills and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 10 years of experience · master’s degree with 4 to 7 years of experience
