Agilus is recruiting for a Journeyperson Millwright in the Food Manufacturing Industry in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

As a key member of the maintenance team, the Millwright reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day facility operations. This position is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and reliability of equipment within a food manufacturing environment while upholding the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety.

A typical day:

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade processing, packaging, material handling, utility, and wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Execute work orders, corrective actions, and approved equipment modifications or additions.
  • Perform, document, and track preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission, and basic electronic issues.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, technical, and schematic drawings.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements and best practices.
  • Support and promote food safety, workplace safety, and health & safety programs.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and perform other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Valid Manitoba Journeyman Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of plant operations and production equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of plant operations and production equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency; CMMS or mobile maintenance system experience is an asset.
  • Availability for weekend overtime as production demands require.
