Associate Lawyer — Family Law & Divorce (Plus Diverse Practice Areas)
📍 Calgary, Alberta | 🕒 Full-time, Permanent | Start: Flexible
Castle & Associates is growing. We’re a boutique Calgary law firm known for compassionate counsel and strong, practical advocacy. We’re hiring an Associate Lawyer with a primary focus on Family Law & Divorce, with opportunities to work across other practice areas.
Experience level: We prefer 3–7 years call, but we’re open to lawyers at other experience levels who are ready to practise and contribute in a boutique environment.
Practice Areas
- Family Law & Divorce (primary)
- Wills & Estates
- Indigenous Law
- Civil Litigation
- Criminal Law
What You’ll Do
- Manage files from intake to resolution (with team support and mentorship as needed)
- Draft pleadings, agreements, correspondence, and court materials
- Appear in court, negotiate settlements, and participate in mediations
- Communicate directly with clients in a steady, compassionate, client-first way
- Collaborate with our team to deliver excellent service and outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Practising lawyer: Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- Interest or experience in family/divorce law (other areas are an asset)
- Strong writing, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently in a boutique environment
- Organized, responsive, and solutions-oriented
