Job Title – Lead QA Engineer – Apigee

Location – Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid preferred with downtown Toronto office; remote candidates within Canada will also be considered)

Role Type – Contract (6 months with potential extension)

Must Have Skills:

  • Expert-level experience with Apigee proxy, policy, and shared flow development
  • Strong API security implementation and validation experience
  • Postman and API testing automation expertise
  • Proficiency with Node.js development
  • Experience with GitHub integration and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities and Job Details:

  • Design, develop, test, and support Apigee proxies for enterprise applications
  • Create, implement, and validate Apigee policies that meet security and performance requirements
  • Develop reusable shared flows to support common API integration patterns
  • Implement and validate API security controls within the Apigee platform
  • Build and maintain automated API test suites using Postman and related testing tools
  • Perform integration testing and ensure seamless deployment through GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with application teams to accelerate onboarding onto the Apigee platform
  • Support Threat & Vulnerability Management initiatives through secure API design and testing practices
  • Troubleshoot API, proxy, and policy-related issues across development and testing environments
  • Promote quality assurance best practices and drive high-quality API delivery standards
  • Partner with development teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards
