Specialist – Work Instructions – Mechanical

Contract: 12‑month Contract

Introduction

We are seeking a Work Instructions Specialist to provide technical expertise (preferably Mechanical) to develop Work Instructions (Strategy Based and Non-Strategy Component Replacement). Additionally, this role serves to ensure synergy between the project final design and equipment maintainability and reliability owner requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Preventive Maintenance Job Plans/Work Instructions for various industrial equipment types.
  • Responsible adhering to monthly schedule and keeping associated reporting platforms up to date on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Actively engage with other Maintenance Readiness upstream and downstream stakeholders and workstreams, namely, Equipment strategy & Master data, Spares Management
  • Responsible for engaging with project engineering and vendors to understand equipment maintainability provisions and Operations and Maintenance manual data availability to complete work instructions as per OEM instructions.
  • Actively participate in the development of the “transition to operations” plan in terms of work instructions training, team formation and role competency, training, tools, shops and logistics readiness
  • Other relevant tasks within the bounds of work instruction scope and/or overall Maintenance Readiness delivery

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of operational industrial facility experience in maintenance execution (supervision and planning or maintenance activity related continuous improvement.)
  • Experience in job plan/work instruction development
  • Extensive experience in the application of workplace safety standards.
  • Experience with CMMS master data development standards and rules.
  • Exposure to LEAN, work efficiency principles.
  • Proficiency in online collaboration platforms (WebEx Teams, Microsoft Teams, etc)
  • Proficiency in all Office 365 environments and specifically Word, Excel and Sharepoint.

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Potash or Mineral Industry related equipment types
  • Exposure to equipment criticality assessment activities and outcomes.
  • Experience with input to design activities in Greenfield or Brownfield engineering projects.
  • Exposure to FMEA based maintenance strategy development.
  • Exposure to Continuous improvement and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Exposure to Management of Change principles.
  • Exposure to equipment Condition Based Monitoring and Precision Maintenance tactics.
  • Exposure to Spares and Materials Management
  • Experience in SAP, or comparable CMMS
  • Exposure to Asset Performance Management systems
