Manufacturing Systems & Documentation Analyst

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving manufacturing processes, systems, and documentation?
Our client, a respected and well-established manufacturer in the Waterloo Region, is hiring a Manufacturing Systems & Documentation Analyst to support documentation control, process improvement, production reporting, and manufacturing knowledge management.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing documentation, SOP development, document control, ERP/MRP systems, production reporting, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, product specifications, troubleshooting guides, and manufacturing process documentation
- Manage document control activities, ensuring records remain accurate, current, and compliant
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and related manufacturing documentation
- Capture and organize operational knowledge from engineering, quality, and production teams
- Convert informal or undocumented processes into clear, searchable, user-friendly documentation
- Analyze and document workflows across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and support functions
- Support corrective actions, non-conformance investigations, and quality documentation
- Create training materials, onboarding guides, job aids, and process support documentation
- Support manufacturing systems, reporting tools, and operational improvement initiatives
- Compile, validate, analyze, and report production data from ERP, MRP, and manufacturing systems
- Ensure reporting accuracy and support data-driven decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve process consistency, information flow, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, document control, technical documentation, quality systems, engineering support, process improvement, or a related discipline
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Strong skills in process documentation, document control, workflow analysis, and data management
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, databases, and reporting tools
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise technical documentation
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, Applied Science, Quality, or a related field is preferred
