Description

Notary Public – One-Month Contract (Barrie, ON)
Canada Notary | Barrie, Ontario | On-site | Entry-level | Independent Contractor

About Canada Notary
Canada Notary is Ontario’s largest notary and document services network, with locations across the GTA and beyond. We provide notarization, Commissioner of Oaths services, apostille and authentication, certified translation, and related document services to individuals, businesses, and legal professionals.

The Opportunity
We are hiring a Notary Public on a one-month contract to cover our Barrie location while a current team member is on temporary leave for examinations. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible — ideally with a start date of Monday, May 11, 2026. The office will remain closed only for the few days needed to identify the right candidate.
This is an entry-level position and is well suited to candidates who:
Operate their own notary or paralegal practice and want a steady weekday revenue stream for the month
Are in the process of launching a practice and would benefit from front-line client experience
Are studying or preparing for licensing exams and want a role that accommodates that
The Barrie location has meaningful downtime between client appointments. We actively encourage you to use that time for your own studies, business development, or other professional work — provided that walk-in and scheduled clients are always your first priority the moment they arrive.
