Operations Analyst — Banking

Contract Duration: 6 months

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days per week in office, Monday–Thursday

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join a collaborative financial services team supporting day-to-day operational activities.

This role is well suited for someone with 1–2 years of banking or financial operations experience, strong communication skills, and excellent attention to detail. The position involves a high volume of outbound calls, follow-up activities, and accurate data entry within internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to financial institutions regarding client transfers.
  • Conduct timely and accurate follow-up on transfers from other financial institutions.
  • Update internal systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform data entry and case management activities.
  • Work with imaging, ticketing, and internal case management systems.
  • Track daily activities and meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Communicate professionally with external financial institutions and stakeholders.
  • Participate in daily team huddles and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
  • Handle customer information in accordance with established privacy and security requirements.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in banking, financial services, or financial operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience making professional outbound phone calls is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, including those containing macros.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Call centre or high-volume phone experience.
  • Wealth management or investment industry experience.
  • Experience with ticketing, case management, imaging, or workflow systems.
  • Previous experience with financial services operations.
  • Bilingual English/French.
  • Previous experience working with Excel macros.
