Job Description:

  • As an Operations Officer II, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to internal stakeholders, ensuring insurance-related documents and requests are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • This role supports day-to-day back-office operations, handling high volumes of mail and transactions while maintaining strict attention to detail and data accuracy. The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment with potential for long-term conversion.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort, count, scan, and upload incoming mail into internal systems
  • Process return mail and learn associated internal systems and procedures
  • Handle customer requests received via mail and fax
  • Post cheque payments and resolve premium billing issues or errors
  • Process daily reversals and rejects from Banking transactions
  • Assist with claim-related issues and complete cancellation requests
  • Perform filing and other administrative duties as required
  • Participate in daily team huddles and monthly team meetings
  • Adhere to established procedures, deadlines, and quality standards
  • Handle sensitive customer data with accuracy and confidentiality

Experience:

  • 1–4 years of relevant administrative or operations experience
  • Experience handling high volumes of work in a back-office environment
  • Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data handling
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and procedures
  • Prior insurance industry experience is an asset
