Part-Time After-School Program Teacher/ Tutor (Grade 1–8)

Position Summary

NOIC ACADEMY is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time After-School Program Teacher/ Tutor (Grade 1–8). This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about working with children and capable of teaching a variety of subjects in an engaging and structured manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach one or more of the following subjects:

• English: Writing, Reading, Drama, Vocabulary
• Mathematics: Mathematical Thinking, Singapore Math, Logic Games, Chinese (People’s Education Press) Math
• Science & Technology: Introductory Science Experiments, Basic Programming
• Physical Education: Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Ball Games, Dodgeball
• Chinese: Chinese (People’s Education Press) Curriculum
• SSAT Preparation: Math and English

• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback when needed
• Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with gifted program applications and/or IB entrance assessments is an asset
• Prior experience teaching or tutoring students (Grade 1–8)
• Ability to teach multiple subjects is strongly preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Bilingual (English & Mandarin) is an asset

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree (Education or related field preferred)
• Relevant teaching or tutoring experience is an asset
