Adecco is hiring a full-time Planning Advisor – Downstream Network Strategy & Investment Analysis to support strategic investment decision‑making and long‑term network optimization for our client’s teama in Calgary, AB. This role plays a critical part in evaluating the financial and operational viability of network investments by analyzing site performance, market trends, and economic outcomes.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to translate complex data into clear insights that support profitable growth and informed decision‑making.
- Location: Calgary, AB (SE)
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8h/day | 40hrs/week
- Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 12-month contract

Responsibilities:
- Analyze site performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics to assess the long‑term profitability of proposed network investments
- Conduct detailed economic evaluations including NPV, IRR, and payback analysis for capital and sustaining projects
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decision‑making
- Synthesize large data sets into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Planning, Finance, Operations, and Strategy teams
- Support ongoing network optimization initiatives through data‑driven analysis and performance tracking
- Prepare high‑quality presentations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Planning, Project Planning, Economic Analysis, or a related role
- Experience within retail or downstream environments is strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI
- Strong analytical and economic modelling capabilities
- Proven ability to translate complex data into concise, meaningful insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including working without direct authority
- 2–3 years of corporate experience with demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft 365 suite
- Experience within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably downstream
- Exposure to large‑scale network planning or investment portfolios
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
