Procurement Manager

12-Month Contract

Mississauga, ON (Hybrid: 3 Days In-Office)

$80 – $100 per hour

Our client, a major player in the global energy sector, is looking for a Procurement Manager to act as a primary strategic advisor for a high-profile infrastructure program. This year-long contract offers the opportunity to shape supply chain strategies and guide commercial readiness for a large project. You will work with engineering, construction, and contracts management to ensure a stable and capable supply chain.

Core Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on procurement planning and supply chain development to support long-term program optimization.
  • Work with senior leadership to design and maintain comprehensive subcontracting plans that align with technical and financial goals.
  • Ensure that new suppliers are vetted appropriately for their specialized scopes of work.
  • Offer forward-looking insights into procurement vulnerabilities and to mitigate project risks.
  • Act as the central link between senior project directors and external suppliers to clarify requirements and priorities.
  • Lead the development of sourcing strategies and manage complex commercial agreements to ensure project success.

About You

  • You possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in project procurement and supply chain management.
  • You are familiar with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and governance standards required in highly regulated environments.
  • You have a deep understanding of contract law, competitive bidding, and advanced negotiation techniques.
  • You are comfortable interpreting technical specifications and drawings to inform purchasing decisions.
  • You are a self-starter capable of navigating high-intensity, multi-disciplinary environments with minimal supervision.
