Reports to: Head of Retail Banking Department

Employment Type: Permanent / Contract

Location: Toronto Downtown Office

Responsibilities:

1.Product Strategy & Development

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities
  • Support the development and launch of new retail banking products (e.g., deposits, FX, GIC, crossborder services)
  • Define product positioning, features, and value propositions aligned with business objectives.

2. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage and optimize existing product portfolio, including performance monitoring and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for product integration, simplification, and customer experience improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product competitiveness and compliance.

3.Head Office & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a key liaison between Head Office and local teams for product initiatives.
  • Support localization and implementation of Head Office product strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including IT, Operations, Compliance, and Front Office.

4.Project Delivery & Implementation

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system and digital banking enhancements
  • Work closely with other teams to support product delivery and ensure timely implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and support issue resolution during product rollout.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or above in Finance, Business, Economics or related fields.
  • 3 – 7 years of experience in banking product management, product development, or related roles. Candidates with less experience will be considered for a junior position.
  • Solid understanding of retail banking products.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and driving project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.
  • Experience working with digital banking platforms or system-related projects is an asset.
  • Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in Chinese is considered an asset.
