Production Technical Support (L3) – Contract role
Number of positions: 1, 12-month initial contract
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 3-4 days a week onsite mandatory)
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Roles and responsibilities:
A leading global banking institution is seeking a skilled and analytical Production Technical Support (L3) professional to join their technology division in Toronto. This senior-level technical role focuses on complex issue resolution, system stability, and engineering-level troubleshooting within a dynamic financial environment.
In this role, you will provide advanced Level 3 application support. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of critical systems, diagnosing intricate technical issues, and collaborating with engineering and development teams to maintain high system stability.
Must have skills/experience/qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Application Support.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) tools and environments (e.g., Query/400).
- Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of Core Java and Agile tools (Jira).
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication/teamwork abilities.
Asset Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience with RPG, ILE RPG, or CL programming.
- Exposure to financial systems (core banking, payment processing, or investment platforms).
- Familiarity with financial regulations and audit processes.
- Knowledge of payment systems (SWIFT, ACH, wire transfers), Foreign Exchange (FX) platforms, trading/capital markets, or risk & compliance frameworks.
