Description
The Project Manager – Roofing & Exterior Waterproofing provides oversight, coordination, & delivery of roofing and building-envelope projects across assigned client portfolios, including new construction, remediation, replacement, restoration, & repair scopes. The role provides end-to-end accountability for project planning, execution, financial performance, & close-out, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, & in compliance with technical specifications, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, & contractual obligations.
Education: Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Building Sciences,
Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline is
preferred. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent formal
project management training is considered a strong asset. Manufacturer certification in
commercial roofing and waterproofing systems, and relevant safety certifications
applicable to roofing and exterior envelope work, are also considered assets.
➢ Experience: A minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible experience
in roofing, exterior waterproofing, or building-envelope construction, including direct
accountability for project planning, budgeting, cost control, subcontractor coordination,
and contract administration.
➢ Demonstrated ability to perform and/or lead estimating activities, including quantity
take-offs, subcontractor and supplier pricing, scope development, bid/tender
submissions, and scope clarifications.
➢ Experience preparing and managing project budgets, cost controls, forecasts, and costto-
complete analyses.
➢ Working knowledge of construction contracts, change management, progress billing, and
project close-out requirements.
➢ Working knowledge of manufacturer installation requirements, inspection protocols,
warranty processes, and close-out documentation standards.
