Introduction We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Assurance Manager who is proficient in French and English to oversee and enhance our Client’s food safety and quality systems. The ideal candidate will take ownership of maintaining the HACCP program and GFSI certification (BRC audit), ensuring all products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications. Responsibilities Design, implement, maintain, and monitor the HACCP program and GFSI certification (via BRC audit). Continuously improve the HACCP and food safety programs (BRC) and quality systems. Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and quality checkpoints according to customer requirements. Draft and revise SOPs and SSOPs in compliance with BRC standards. Conduct supplier approval systems, including sending micro-analyses of raw materials. Oversee microbiological testing of finished products and environmental samples. Provide immediate feedback to management on observed issues. Ensure all finished products meet specifications and update customer requirements in company software. Implement and maintain product recall systems, conducting annual mock recalls. Maintain contact with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors. Ensure premises meet hygiene requirements by reviewing and updating SSOPs. Maintain pest control program and supervise pest control contractor. Provide supervision and assistance to production staff, including training on GMP and HACCP programs. Communicate with customers regarding complaints and feedback. Attend and contribute to weekly management meetings. Keep Senior Bakery Platform Manager – Canada informed of all issues and concerns. Qualifications 5+ years of management experience in food industry quality assurance. Bilingual (English/French preferred). Degree in Food Science or related field. Knowledge of food safety, GMP, and HACCP required. Practical knowledge of FSMA with PCQI certification. Practical knowledge of BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. Proactive individual capable of working with limited supervision. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
