Job Description — Listings Clerk
Department: Mortgage Enforcement
Team: Listings Team
Location: In-office, 5 days/week
A law firm is seeking a Listings Clerk to join its Mortgage Enforcement department. This role sits on the Listings Team and supports the process of preparing residential properties for sale as part of mortgage enforcement files. It is ideal for someone with a residential real estate background who is interested in applying that experience in a different kind of real estate workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage files through the pre-listing and listing stages of the mortgage enforcement process
- Coordinate the preparation of residential properties for sale
- Liaise with real estate agents, property management companies, and other third parties involved in getting properties market-ready
- Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the file lifecycle
- Upload and manage documents through client bank portals
- Support the administrative and coordination work required before a property is transferred for sale
- Help keep files organized and moving efficiently through the listings stage
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of residential real estate experience
- Strong understanding of residential real estate files and related documentation
- Comfortable coordinating with multiple external and internal parties
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple files at once
- Open to learning mortgage enforcement processes and procedures
Additional Information
- This is not a traditional purchase and sale clerk role
- The focus is on preparing properties for sale, rather than handling standard closing transactions
- Training will be provided on the mortgage enforcement side for candidates with the right real estate foundation
