Reliability Engineer Co‑Op/Intern – Winter 2027
The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) is the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash. We are hiring a Reliability Engineer Co‑Op/Intern for the K2 site at Highway 22, Esterhazy, SK.
Location & Travel
K2 site at Highway 22, Esterhazy, SK (S0A 0X0). Housing and relocation may be provided for qualified candidates. Candidates must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Term & Schedule
January11,2027–December17,2027. Full time co‑op internship, 36‑40 hours per week, in‑person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate failures to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Perform design assessment using computer modeling or hand calculations.
- Contribute to projects including troubleshooting with RCA’s and 5 Why.
- Design, size, and validate new or modified equipment.
- Improve preventive maintenance and job plan using precision maintenance practices.
- Use mine data to identify reliability improvement opportunities and achieve OEE and cost reduction.
- Identify deficiencies in maintenance processes and develop sustainable improvements.
- Assist with asset integrity decisions using historic design methods and drawings.
- Communicate with management, operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
- Participate in departmental and project meetings.
What You’ll Need
- Third year or above student by January2027 pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Systems (GPA≥72%).
- Experience with student or school organizations, volunteer, or work is preferred.
- Previous internship or co‑op experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with industrial environment highly desirable.
- Strong verbal communication.
- Physical ability to lift 0–25lb, climb stairs, work at heights, perform fine hand motor tasks, use respirator as required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and occasional outdoor exposure to hot and cold environments.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
