Sage X3 Application Consultant (Financials)

Location: Remote (Canada-based candidates preferred)

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Sage X3 Application Consultant with a strong background in Financials to support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of Sage X3 ERP solutions. This role will focus heavily on financial workflows, process improvements, user support, and delivering scalable ERP solutions that align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on Sage X3 consulting experience, strong knowledge of finance and accounting processes, and the ability to work closely with both technical teams and end users to drive successful ERP initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Sage X3 Financials implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional Sage X3 solutions
  • Configure and support core Sage X3 financial modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and technical teams to improve business processes and system efficiency
  • Provide end-user training, troubleshooting, and ongoing application support
  • Assist with integrations between Sage X3 and third-party applications
  • Support testing, deployments, system enhancements, and upgrades
  • Create and maintain functional documentation, process flows, and best practices
  • Ensure system performance, data integrity, and reporting accuracy across financial operations

Requirements

  • Strong experience working as a Sage X3 Application Consultant
  • Hands-on experience with Sage X3 Financial modules and financial workflows
  • Background in ERP consulting, accounting systems, or finance-focused environments
  • Experience gathering business requirements and delivering ERP solutions
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide practical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Must be based in Canada and authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Sage X3 implementations or multi-site environments
  • Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or integrations
  • Experience working within manufacturing, distribution, or services industries
  • Sage X3 certifications are considered an asset
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
