Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the Salesforce Health Cloud platform for patient services.
  • Define architectures for large-scale Patient Support Programs, including journeys, case management, and engagement workflows.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture strategy and governance standards.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into robust architectural blueprints.
  • Strategize and implement integrations with partner services (e.g., Benefits Verification, Co-Pay).
  • Guide teams of specialized professionals to successfully deliver complex projects in the patient services domain.
  • Oversee implementations and integrations involving Salesforce Health Cloud, Snowflake, Informatica, AWS S3, Python, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture solution requirements and resolve technical/business challenges.
  • Participate in supplier selection, evaluating technology solutions for fit and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and present outcomes to technology and business groups.
  • Optimize existing solution architecture, deliver reusable services, and identify system performance or cost improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with architects, cross-functional teams, and project/delivery teams to ensure integrated, compliant solutions.
  • Identify and communicate risks related to business, application, and technical aspects of implementation.
  • Maintain architecture artifacts, C4 diagrams, and documentation, keeping all stakeholders informed of changes.
  • Provide technical expertise to development teams and maintain current/target-state architecture roadmaps.
  • Ensure protection of protected health information (PHI) through strict security and privacy protocols.
  • Support Agile Dev/Ops alignment with architectural compliance in patient services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend emerging Salesforce technologies.

Key Qualifications

  • Salesforce Application and System Architect certification (preferred).
  • Extensive experience architecting Salesforce OmniStudio solutions—proficient with Integration Procedures, OmniScripts, and Data Raptors.
  • Strong background in Salesforce Health Cloud: FHIR integrations, data privacy and security, consent management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate functional needs into technical designs aligned with business strategy.
  • Experience building patient or consumer-facing technologies, ideally in regulated environments (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Knowledge of encryption, data masking, and anonymization techniques.
  • Customer-focused and detail-oriented; able to work globally across time zones.
  • Proven collaborative team player with high-quality delivery and professionalism.
  • Hands-on experience with current technology trends and standards.
  • Experience developing cloud-native solutions and API strategies.
  • Strong background with agile methodologies; direct Solution Architect experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of life sciences/pharma data architecture requirements.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva, Service Cloud Voice, Advanced Therapy Management.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Snowflake data warehousing.
  • Experience creating C4 architecture diagrams and using tools like Microsoft PowerBI/Tableau.
  • Exposure to AI/ML capabilities and DevOps tools (AutoRabbit, GitHub, Terraform).
  • Experience with Informatica iPaaS.
