Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement SAP Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) solutions.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements for insurance finance and accounting processes.
  • Configure FPSL components including subledger accounting, posting logic, accounting rules, and financial reporting.
  • Integrate SAP FPSL with SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP FICO, SAP Insurance applications, and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Support IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 accounting requirements through SAP FPSL configuration.
  • Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on custom developments.
  • Participate in solution architecture, fit-gap analysis, workshops, and blueprint sessions.
  • Support data migration, reconciliation, testing, defect resolution, and production deployments.
  • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
  • Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, training materials, and knowledge transfer documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Risk, and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and governance standards.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of SAP Finance consulting experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on SAP FPSL implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FPSL architecture and configuration.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • Strong understanding of Insurance Accounting processes.
  • Experience supporting IFRS 17 and/or IFRS 9 implementations.
  • Knowledge of General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Financial Close, and Financial Reporting.
  • Experience with data reconciliation, financial postings, and accounting rule configuration.
  • Experience integrating SAP FPSL with SAP FICO and other SAP solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP Insurance Analyzer (FS-RI / FS-CD / FS-PM) or other SAP for Insurance solutions.
  • Knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or SAP Group Reporting.
  • Experience in Insurance Finance Transformation projects.
  • Exposure to SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAP Activate methodologies.
