The Opportunity

We are seeking Senior Contract Admin/Procurement Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring efficiency, transparency, and cost-effectiveness of our procurement processes. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities that will support our mining operations and projects across Canada and the United States.

This is a new full-time role, with a hybrid work arrangement of 2 days in the office, located in Vaughan, Ontario. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 pm, however, flexibility may be required to accommodate time zone differences across our sites. There is a limited requirement to travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead procurement projects, including conducting market research, preparing bid packages, managing negotiations, preparing award protocols, and contracts for final signature.
  • Oversee the implementation and compliance of the company’s Procurement Policy across assigned projects and regions.
  • Preparation of procurement reports, board memos, presentations, and other supporting documents.
  • Develop and verify Annual Procurement Plans in alignment with business objectives.
  • Consolidate procurement requirements within and outside the annual plan to achieve efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Analyze consolidation potential for selected product categories at the global level.
  • Participate in the development of global procurement strategies and supporting tools such as total cost of ownership (TCO) templates, cost analysis models, supplier profiles, and negotiation framework.
  • Manage global support for procurement systems, including the CMS and SAP Ariba platforms, and contribute to their development based on business needs.
  • Support local procurement teams through training, guidance, and oversight to ensure adherence to company procurement policies and best practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Logistics, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or supply management, within the mining sector.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Experience with procurement platforms and ERP systems, particularly SAP Ariba, JD Edwards, and related tools.
  • Solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions to support risk mitigation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to support strategic decision-making.
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and delegate effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Additional language skills (Polish or Spanish) are considered an asset.
  • Technical aptitude or exposure to technical environments is an asset.
  • Experience working in multicultural and international environments is an asset.

Compensation for this position is determined by experience and alignment with role requirements and typically ranges from $100,000 to $125,000. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive awards.
