Job Overview
Senior DevOps Engineer – AI Engineering Team (Data Lab) – Toronto, Canada.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps professional to manage and maintain our AI platform and support the development of AI and data pipelines.
Salary & Benefits
- Base salary: $101,800 – $124,400 (based on 35‑hour workweek)
- Annual bonus target with potential payout up to double the target.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and maintaining the AI platform using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Data Backup, and AWS Backup.
- Support development teams on operational aspects of AI and data pipelines.
- Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Work with Databricks and Snowflake to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Help create and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with teams to support automation improvements.
- Contribute to proof‑of‑concept projects to validate new ideas.
- Assist senior team members in troubleshooting technical issues, participate in code reviews.
- Promote DevOps best practices and secure coding practices across the software lifecycle.
- Perform root cause analysis of production platform issues and develop action plans.
- Recommend technologies/tools to facilitate integration between product stacks.
- Implement observability and KPI measurement for solutions.
- Design high‑availability solutions, including disaster recovery and data backups.
- Participate in problem‑management activities to identify and minimize impacts.
- Support frequent and seamless deployments with software development teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a DevOps role.
- 5 years of experience in AWS cloud environment with deep knowledge of S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Data Backup, and AWS Backup.
- Proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes, ELK stack, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience in Databricks and Snowflake environments.
- Experience in Big Data context is an asset.
- Experience in security or SecOps is an asset.
- Knowledge of machine learning cycle is an asset.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, collaboration, and customer‑orientation skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion.
- Adaptable to fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Location & Eligibility
Toronto, Canada. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (English & French) is required.
