Our third party logistics (3PL) client has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced contracts and finance professional to join their world-class organization that continues on a very strong growth trajectory. This is a high-visibility leadership role for a hands‑on, strategic professional who thrives at the intersection of finance, operations, process improvement, and customer service.
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controlling, the Senior Director, Transportation Vendor Management will play a critical role in ensuring revenue is captured accurately, efficiently, and in full. This individual will lead the strategy, governance, systems, and team performance behind a billing function that supports business growth, strengthens financial integrity, and enhances the customer experience.
What You’ll Lead
- Ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing with strong validation, reconciliation, and exception management controls
- Designing and leading a scalable billing strategy and operating model aligned with continued organizational growth
- Driving automation and continuous improvement across systems and processes to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and shorten cycle times
- Overseeing billing analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting to support informed decision‑making
- Partnering closely with Operations and Finance to improve alignment, resolve issues, and support billing readiness for new customers and changing agreements
- Leading and developing a high‑performing team with a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus
Qualifications
- A degree in Business or a related field
- 7‑10 years of relevant experience, including 5‑7 years in people leadership
- A strong background in billing, financial controls, process improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment
