  • Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems for heavy industrial facilities.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical reports.

  • Coordinate electrical deliverables with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing technical guidance throughout project execution.
  • Lead or support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overall project delivery.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and designers while supporting their professional development.
  • Participate in field investigations, site reviews, commissioning, and construction support activities.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, company procedures, and health & safety requirements.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation with APEGA (or eligibility for immediate registration).
  • Approximately 8–15+ years of consulting engineering experience.
  • Strong background designing industrial electrical systems, particularly low- and medium-voltage power distribution.
  • Previous consulting engineering experience is required (owner-side experience alone will not be sufficient).
  • Experience working on oil & gas projects is preferred, although candidates from mining, utilities, pipelines, water treatment, power generation, or other heavy industrial sectors are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and work directly with clients.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or a genuine interest in coaching and developing others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality technical deliverables.

Why This Firm

  • Join a growing Calgary office with an expanding portfolio of industrial projects.
  • Work on technically challenging brownfield and greenfield projects across multiple heavy industrial sectors.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of projects while building long-term client relationships.
