ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

As a Senior Electrical Engineer (P.Eng.), you’ll serve as the technical authority on complex industrial engineering projects from concept through commissioning. This is a role for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, working directly with clients, mentoring engineers and designers, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions that make a real difference. You’ll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, influence project strategy, and help raise the technical standard across our organization.

What You’ll Do

Lead Engineering Excellence

• Act as the technical lead on complex industrial electrical engineering projects.
• Develop, review, approve, and seal engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation within your scope of practice.
• Conduct engineering studies, system analysis, modelling, and technical investigations.
• Design integrated electrical systems while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate technical challenges and recommend practical, innovative solutions that balance performance, safety, quality, and client objectives.

Deliver Successful Projects

• Lead engineering activities from concept through detailed design, implementation, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Develop project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams while managing priorities, budgets, and project timelines.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Mentor and Develop Others

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Review engineering deliverables for quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Share knowledge and support continuous learning across the engineering team.
• Help develop technical standards and engineering best practices.

Build Strong Client Relationships

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, presentations, and engineering recommendations.
• Develop lasting relationships by understanding customer needs and delivering practical, value-driven solutions.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends that create opportunities for our clients.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with leadership, sound judgment, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (or eligibility for registration)
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive industrial electrical engineering experience
• Experience leading engineering projects from concept through completion
• Strong knowledge of Canadian electrical codes, industry standards, and engineering best practices
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring others
• Preference will be given to candidates from Saskatoon and Regina.
