Our client, a leading North American CPG manufacturer is looking for an experienced Sr. HR Manager to improve the human resources discipline across various locations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture, enhancing employee relations, and driving talent acquisition efforts . Please note this is an onsite position with remote 1 day/week.

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide counsel regarding policy, procedure, and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes, procedures and policies to ensure compliance and implementation of new standards across various locations.
  • Address employee conflicts and complete investigations as required.
  • Assist with the employee discipline/performance management process.
  • Support the full cycle recruitment and onboarding process for the facility.
  • Provide counsel to department managers and Human Resources Business Partners regarding company policy, performance management and discipline, internal audits, recruitment, compensation, and employee benefits.
  • Actively participate and support workplace health and safety initiatives; track metrics, follow up and report on monthly targets and actions.
  • Oversee WCB functions including initial claim filing, return to work & modified duties, incident investigations and JHSC minutes.
  • Administration of tracking HR metrics including: safety, recruitment, labour allocation, attendance management.
  • Provide off shift support as needed and ensure effective communications with our operational group.
  • Provide back up support for time and attendance administration.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Completion of an appropriate Human Resources Management program or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of college diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field required.
  • CHRP certification required.
  • 7+ years progressive HR Manager (titled) experience in a high speed CPG manufacturing environment required.
  • 7+ years experience managing an HR team required. Multi site experience an asset.
