Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil Infrastructure

Location: Southeastern BC / Interior BC

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 + Full Benefits + RRSP Matching

Position Summary:

We’re partnering with a well-established civil contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a major bridge and transportation infrastructure project in Southeastern BC.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile heavy civil project, leading it from its current stage through to completion. You’ll oversee project planning, execution, safety, commercial performance, and client relationships while mentoring a team of project professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of a major heavy civil infrastructure project
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and overall performance
  • Provide leadership to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Surveyors, and field teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Oversee contract administration, change management, and claims
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Mentor and develop project management staff while promoting continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements, contract specifications, and quality programs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
  • Proven experience delivering bridge, transportation, or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong background managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and commercial performance
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Transportation and MMCD contracts is considered an asset
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is an asset
