Hiring: Senior Cyber Security Project Manager

Are you a seasoned Project Manager who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments?

I am partnering with a top-tier Canadian Financial Institution to find a Senior Cyber Security Project Manager to lead high-visibility Cyber and AI initiatives. In this role, you won’t just track activities—you will drive outcomes, define unclear scope, and partner directly with C-suite executives to navigate regulatory and net-new security programs.

Role Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (crossing into the next fiscal year)
  • Location: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days/week in office – Downtown Toronto)
  • Pay Rate: $73 – $77/hour (T4) OR $82 – $92/hour (IC)

What You Will Be Doing:

  • End-to-End Delivery: Lead a variety of Cyber Security projects (API, PAM, Database Monitoring, IAM, DLP, etc.) and AI programs from inception through technical delivery and governance.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Interact, negotiate, and simplify complex Technical/AI concepts for C-suite decision-makers.
  • Scope & Ambiguity Mastery: Partner with Business and Technology teams to define scope and outcomes in a constantly changing, highly regulated environment.
  • Financial & Schedule Discipline: Manage forecasting, variance analysis, and contract management (Clarity tool experience is highly preferred).
  • Risk & Conflict Resolution: Proactively push back when needed, drive mitigation actions, and challenge estimates, timelines, and risks in a collaborative yet firm manner.

Must-Haves to Qualify:

  • Proven track record delivering Cyber Security and AI projects.
  • Prior working experience within a federally regulated Financial Institution.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication and influence—ability to handle conflict, competing priorities, and negotiate trade-offs diplomatically.
  • Strong financial management skills (budgeting, forecasting vs. actuals, variance analysis).
  • Solid high-level understanding of System Architecture, SDLC, Integration, and Hybrid/Agile delivery methods.

PMP, CISSP, CISM, or SAFe certifications are a great bonus, but proven delivery experience is the ultimate key.
