We are seeking a Senior Terraform Infrastructure Engineer:highly senior, hands-on Terraform expert to join a fast-growing engineering team during a key phase of infrastructure transformation. In this role, you will lead the refactoring of a monolithic Terraform codebase into a modular, scalable, multi-region AWS architecture that is central to the company’s long-term platform strategy.

This is a high-impact mandate requiring someone who can contribute immediately, bring deep Infrastructure as Code expertise, and help strengthen engineering standards from day one.

The ideal candidate is a mature infrastructure engineer with a strong IaC architecture mindset and proven experience leading large-scale Terraform refactoring initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments. Strong hands-on experience with multi-region Terraform implementations is a key differentiator for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary objective is to refactor a monolithic Terraform infrastructure into a modular, multi-region Terraform architecture following enterprise-grade IaC best practices.

Your contributions will span:

  • Advanced Terraform modularization and reusable module design
  • AWS multi-region architecture implementation
  • Infrastructure as Code standardization and best practices enforcement
  • Terraform state management and deployment strategy
  • Environment structuring (dev, staging, production)
  • Reduction of existing Terraform technical debt
  • CI/CD pipeline integration for infrastructure deployments
  • Maintainability and scalability improvements across the platform

Required Qualifications

  • Expert-level Terraform — this is the core and defining competency for this role; it must be prominently demonstrated in your profile
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in senior infrastructure engineering roles
  • Proven experience refactoring complex, large-scale Terraform environments
  • Strong command of Terraform modularization patterns and reusable module architecture
  • Hands-on experience with AWS multi-region deployments
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform state management, workspaces, and environment strategies
  • Experience integrating IaC into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD or equivalent)
  • Ability to challenge existing standards and drive architecture improvements independently
