HVAC / Mechanical Services – Service Department Manager

Are you an experienced HVAC or Mechanical Services leader ready to take ownership of a growing service division? We’re seeking a dynamic Service Department Manager to lead a high-performing team while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth.

Role:

As the Service Department Manager, you’ll provide strategic leadership for the entire service operation while ensuring exceptional customer experiences and strong financial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing Service Foremen and Service Technicians
  • Managing scheduling, staffing, and daily service operations
  • Driving departmental efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Resolving complex service issues with professionalism and confidence
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and departmental budgets
  • Improving systems, processes, and operational workflows
  • Supporting health and safety initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Helping develop future leaders within the organization

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience within HVAC or mechanical service operations
  • Previous leadership or management experience
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience improving processes and building high-performing teams

Experience:

  • Commercial or industrial HVAC experience
  • Hydronic heating systems
  • Boiler and burner systems
  • Greenhouse mechanical experience (an asset, not required)
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Experience leading organizational change
