Role Description

J & R Hall Transport Inc. is seeking an experienced Truck and Trailer Mechanic with a valid Red Seal Endorsement to join our maintenance team. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Abbotsford, BC location. The Truck and Trailer Mechanic will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on late model trucks and van trailers. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, repairing components, and ensuring safety and operational efficiency of all equipment. Additional duties include documentation of work performed and collaborating with the team to maintain timely and effective repairs.

Qualifications

  • Valid Red Seal Certification in Truck and Transport Mechanic
  • Experience in truck and trailer maintenance
  • Strong skills in Equipment Repair and servicing Freightliner and International trucks
  • Experience with system Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to heavy equipment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a physically demanding environment
  • Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent is an asset
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage time efficiently

Wage Range: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.

Shift Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
