What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the civil construction division.
  • Partner with owners and senior leadership to define long‑term growth objectives, targets, and market plans.
  • Represent the company externally with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Estimating Expertise

  • Lead and grow the estimating function — setting standards for accuracy, competitiveness, and innovation.
  • Manage complex civil estimates across site works, utilities, roadworks, and infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes and tools.
  • Mentor and develop junior estimators to build a high‑performing estimating team.

Business Development & Client Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across municipal, private, and industrial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, consultants, and public agencies.
  • Lead pursuit strategy, presentations, and negotiations for major civil contracts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to position the firm as a top choice for civil work.

Operational Partnership

  • Collaborate with Operations leadership to ensure smooth project transitions from pre‑construction to execution.
  • Support project teams with risk management, value engineering, and bid‑build strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between estimating, commercial, and field activities.

Ownership Mindset

  • Demonstrate accountability, commercial ownership, and proactive decision‑making.
  • Influence culture, systems, and performance expectations across the company.
  • Bring entrepreneurial energy to strategy, growth, and execution.

Who You Are

  • Proven Senior Estimator with a track record of winning civil construction work.
  • 10+ years’ experience in civil heavy construction estimating, with leadership exposure.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of bidding, costing, and risk.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Results‑oriented with excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • A leader who develops people, builds teams, and fosters collaboration across functions.
  • Forward‑thinking with a growth mindset and interest in long‑term ownership alignment.
