What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the civil construction division.
- Partner with owners and senior leadership to define long‑term growth objectives, targets, and market plans.
- Represent the company externally with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Estimating Expertise
- Lead and grow the estimating function — setting standards for accuracy, competitiveness, and innovation.
- Manage complex civil estimates across site works, utilities, roadworks, and infrastructure.
- Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes and tools.
- Mentor and develop junior estimators to build a high‑performing estimating team.
Business Development & Client Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across municipal, private, and industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, consultants, and public agencies.
- Lead pursuit strategy, presentations, and negotiations for major civil contracts.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to position the firm as a top choice for civil work.
Operational Partnership
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to ensure smooth project transitions from pre‑construction to execution.
- Support project teams with risk management, value engineering, and bid‑build strategies.
- Ensure alignment between estimating, commercial, and field activities.
Ownership Mindset
- Demonstrate accountability, commercial ownership, and proactive decision‑making.
- Influence culture, systems, and performance expectations across the company.
- Bring entrepreneurial energy to strategy, growth, and execution.
Who You Are
- Proven Senior Estimator with a track record of winning civil construction work.
- 10+ years’ experience in civil heavy construction estimating, with leadership exposure.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of bidding, costing, and risk.
- Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and relationship management.
- Results‑oriented with excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, analytical, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- A leader who develops people, builds teams, and fosters collaboration across functions.
- Forward‑thinking with a growth mindset and interest in long‑term ownership alignment.
