Summary of Position

Lionsgate Canada’s Distribution team is seeking a Vice President, TV & Digital Distribution to join an established and high-performing team. This role is responsible for driving licensing revenue and executing distribution strategy across television and digital platforms within the Canadian market.

As part of the Worldwide TV Distribution organization, the role partners closely with Sales, Sales Planning, Content Strategy, and cross-functional stakeholders to maximize the value of Lionsgate’s current slate and extensive library. The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of commercial deal-making expertise, relationship leadership, and data-informed strategy to optimize performance across both new releases and catalogue content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiation and execution of licensing agreements for television and digital platforms across Canada, spanning both current and library titles
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key buyers across streamers and emerging digital platforms; proactively identify client needs and opportunities
  • Identify and execute sales strategies across film and television content, leveraging market insights, performance data, and programming trends
  • Partner with Sales Planning and Content Strategy teams to align on inventory management, windowing priorities, and revenue optimization initiatives
  • Partner with colleagues across US and International sales to optimize dealmaking where applicable
  • Analyze historical sales, performance data, and market trends to inform pricing, renewal strategies, and deal structuring
  • Manage various business verticals within the Canadian TV Distribution team
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, rights management, servicing, and marketing to structure and close deals efficiently
  • Expand licensing footprint by identifying new business opportunities, including emerging platforms and non-traditional partners
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes through pipeline tracking and revenue projections
  • Collaborate on packaging strategies and multi-title deals to maximize value across the content portfolio

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated senior-level experience in television distribution, content sales, or digital
  • media, with significant exposure to the Canadian and/or international marketplace
  • Proven deal-making and negotiation expertise, with a strong understanding of licensing structures, rights, and windowing strategies
  • Strong relationships with buyers across platforms in the Canadian market
  • Advanced ability to interpret sales performance data and market insights to inform commercial and strategic decision-making
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple negotiations concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with comfort operating at executive levels
  • Experience working across both English- and French-language markets in Canada
  • Familiarity with SVOD, AVOD, and FAST platforms and evolving digital distribution models
  • Established relationships with Canadian broadcasters, streamers, and digital buyers
  • Experience using content avails systems, rights management tools, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Airtable)
  • Strong analytical capability with tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms
  • Solid understanding of film and television programming, audience trends, and genre performance
  • Exposure to content packaging strategies and/or multi-territory deal-making
  • Background in sales planning, content strategy, or financial analysis within media and entertainment
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed
