Job Overview

MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all tasks and procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods.
  • Report any deviation from documented procedures to your direct line manager, or nominated person.
  • Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any nonconforming event related to customer samples, or other departmental operations.
  • Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any unsafe conditions within the department.
  • Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the department work stations and the equipment. Using appropriate cleaning materials to clean equipment as assigned.
  • Verify and record calibration of the equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Follow Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QAQC), and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Raise non-conformance investigation requests to the QAQC department as necessary.

Requirements

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent Communication skills(written and spoken)in English.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Technical Diploma or equivalent experience. High School Diploma and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 0-3 years’ experience in a commercial laboratory
