LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Capital Project Manager for a 2-year contract opportunity with its Vancouver-based customer.

Vancouver, BC (Hybrid/On-site as required)
Key Tasks
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex capital infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Act as the owner’s representative, coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders while ensuring project objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety are achieved.
- Manage project governance activities, including status reporting, risk management, financial reporting, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
- Oversee design development, procurement, construction activities, contractor performance, change management, commissioning, and occupancy planning.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and financial performance while ensuring compliance with organizational governance and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business leaders, external consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale capital infrastructure projects as an Owner’s Representative, delivering projects from business case through design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline, along with a PMP certification. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Registered Architect designation is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated expertise managing multidisciplinary teams, capital budgets, schedules, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders within complex, regulated, healthcare, laboratory, industrial, manufacturing, or other mission-critical environments.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of capital project delivery methodologies, including Design-Build, Construction Management, EPC, IPD, and Design-Bid-Build.
- Experience managing project controls, including cost forecasting, earned value management, cash flow planning, and executive reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, including schedule development, resource planning, dependency management, and critical path analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and process engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience overseeing permitting, regulatory approvals, construction documentation, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contractor coordination.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable updates for executives and governance committees.
- Experience coordinating commissioning, operational readiness, occupancy planning, validation, and transition-to-operations activities.
Assets
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Registered Architect designation.
- Experience delivering projects within healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical, biologics, blood services, GMP, cold-chain, manufacturing, or other regulated environments.
- Experience delivering projects within occupied facilities where business continuity must be maintained throughout construction.
- Experience with Pro Forma modelling, capital investment analysis, and financial feasibility assessments.
