About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Advancement to lead the strategic philanthropic initiatives that align with the institution’s mission and priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing an Advancement strategic plan, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring the delivery of fundraising goals. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a proven track record in major gift fundraising, including the ability to secure seven-figure gifts and lead significant campaigns. The Executive Director will also be tasked with fostering a culture of philanthropy and engagement, with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should be highly organized, skilled communicators, and possess the emotional intelligence necessary to connect with a diverse range of individuals. The role involves close collaboration with the Head of School, the Board of Trustees, and the Board of Governors, as well as leading the Advancement team in donor cultivation and stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a background in education or the non-profit sector, experience with volunteer Boards, and a commitment to the transformative power of education. Leadership attributes include being strategic, practical, and a collaborative leader, with a strong focus on regular communication and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. A degree in a relevant field is required, with additional qualifications in advancement or fundraising being a plus.
