About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its professional association, which is dedicated to regulating the practice of architecture and ensuring the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and overall management of the association. This includes collaborating with the Council to develop and implement policies that align with the association’s regulatory mandate, overseeing financial planning and management, and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders. The Executive Director will also be the primary liaison for regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring that the association and its members adhere to all relevant laws and standards.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a university degree in a related field, with a preference for a graduate diploma in non-profit management or regulatory administration. Key skills include visionary leadership, coaching and mentoring, relationship building, and a strong commitment to the public interest. The role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a changing regulatory environment.
