Work Mon – Fri, 40 hrs/week in EST time zone. Quarterly travel for 1-2 days to client’s Toronto office at own expense
Top skills:
- Strong communication skills. Must be able to articulate the reason for user experience decisions they have made within a project.
- A strong portfolio. A portfolio which demonstrates strong design sensibilities. Note that I’m not looking for a visual design specialist, but more of a product designer. Portfolios full of distracting animations and flashy transitions are generally not what I’m looking for.
- Case studies which demonstrate design process. I generally love to see a case study which shows sketches or wireframes, coupled with a clear articulation of the user need and decisions which informed design direction.
Duties:
- 3-5 years of design user experiences and user interfaces for web-based software products supporting Autodesk Forma’s data visualization capabilities for the AEC cloud platform, including customizable dashboards and reports, landing experiences, and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and senior design partners to translate defined product requirements into flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
- Work within established design systems, component libraries, and product patterns to support current and future software experiences.
- May assist with usability reviews, design QA, and developer handoff. Remain current on UX, interaction design, and enterprise SaaS product design practices, and suggest improvements where appropriate.
- This role supports execution of defined product design work and is not responsible for setting overall product or design strategy.
- Requires 3-5 years of relevant Product/UX Design experience and strong Figma proficiency. Works under general direction with moderate latitude for independent judgment.
