Vice President, Brand and Market Strategy
We are seeking a bold and strategic VP of Brand and Market Strategy to define how the market understands SOCi… and the category we are creating.
This is a mission‑critical leadership role. You are not just building a brand… you are shaping the narrative for an entirely new category at the intersection of AI, local search, and multi‑location marketing. You will define our market positioning, elevate our voice, and ensure everything from executive storytelling to product messaging ladders into a single, powerful story.
This is a brand‑led role (60%) with executive oversight of Product Marketing (40%). You will own how SOCi shows up across every touchpoint… from our category narrative and thought leadership to our content strategy and communications engine… while ensuring our product marketing function translates that narrative into clear, differentiated, and revenue‑driving go‑to‑market execution.
Salary: base salary range of $190,000–$250,000 CAD plus bonuses/commission.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Market Narrative & Category Leadership
- Define and evolve SOCi’s category narrative, positioning, and messaging architecture
- Establish a clear, differentiated point of view that answers: why change, why now, why SOCi
- Ensure consistency of narrative across brand, product, sales, and executive communications
- Shape how analysts, media, customers, and the market understand SOCi
- Brand Strategy & Experience
- Own SOCi’s brand strategy, identity, and voice across all digital and offline touchpoints
- Ensure a consistent and high‑quality brand experience across digital channels, campaigns, events, and customer interactions
- Lead and scale a high‑performing brand and creative organization
- Authority, Content & Earned Channel Strategy
- Own SOCi’s earned and owned media strategy to build market authority and executive visibility
- Define the role of key channels including LinkedIn, YouTube, blog/editorial, PR, and industry publications
- Build and scale an always‑on content engine that reinforces SOCi’s narrative and engages enterprise buyers
- Oversee development of thought leadership programs, including proprietary research, data insights, and executive POVs
- Partner with executive leadership to amplify SOCi’s voice across social platforms, speaking engagements, and media
- Communications & Executive Visibility
- Lead SOCi’s communications strategy, including media relations, analyst engagement, and corporate messaging
- Elevate executive presence through keynotes, bylines, interviews, and industry influence
- Ensure SOCi maintains a strong and differentiated voice in the market
- Lead and mentor the Product Marketing function, including a Sr. Director and team
- Ensure product messaging, positioning, and go‑to‑market strategies align with the broader market narrative
- Go‑to‑Market Narrative & Cross‑Functional Alignment
- Partner with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, and Customer Success to ensure alignment across the full customer journey
- Drive consistency between brand narrative, product messaging, and revenue strategy
- Influence executive decision‑making through market insights, customer understanding, and competitive intelligence
- Brand & Narrative Operating Model
- Build a modern brand and communications operating system with clear KPIs tied to awareness, perception, and pipeline impact
- Establish measurement frameworks that connect brand investment to business outcomes
- Own budget, planning, and performance reporting across brand, communications, and product marketing teams
What You’ll Need to be Successful
- Hybrid Opportunity: Fully remote until Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON offices established; may transition to hybrid thereafter
- Must Have:
- 7+ years of B2B Product Marketing experience in a high‑growth environment
- Demonstrated success as Head of Marketing (bonus if led Product Marketing teams)
- Experience navigating and influencing executive‑level dynamics with strong personalities
- Hands‑on experience with positioning, pricing, packaging, GTM planning, sales enablement, research, competitive intel, product launch
- Creative thinking: develop awareness programs, enable sales, excite customers
- Strategic and hands‑on; juggle multiple initiatives with confidence
- Excellent written & verbal skills; distill complex into simple, compelling messages
- Collaboration, interpersonal skills, positive attitude, productive relationships
- Data‑driven decision making; willing to experiment and learn from failures
- Ready to adapt to changes as required by business
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
